Curaçao Soccer, The Blue Wave, is the home of the island’s historic march to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the movement built around it.
The origin of the Blue Wave
It started with a result that shouldn’t have been possible: an island of roughly 156,000 people qualifying for the World Cup for the first time, becoming the smallest nation ever to do so. We saw immediately that this was more than sport. It was the moment the world would meet Curaçao.
What ‘the Blue Wave’ means
The blue is the ocean that surrounds us, the shirts the team wears, and the wave of global attention now rolling toward the island. The Blue Wave is sport, tourism and national identity moving together, momentum you can feel.
Our mission
To position Curaçao soccer as a discovery engine for the island: to connect what happens on the pitch with the rise of Kòrsou’s global reputation, and to turn a single tournament into lasting pride, infrastructure and opportunity.
